Advertising Education Sponsor
What is an AAF District 3 AES member?
AAF District 3 of the American Advertising
Federation (AAF) includes Virginia, North Carolina,

Advertising Education Sponsor. Member sponsors
are committed to financially assisting the district
in maintaining a high level of support to AAF College
Chapters, AAF National Student Competition
Teams, and advertising students in general.
Dues from clubs cannot adequately support all of the education programs, and most schools are cutting their budgets to the bone.
Who are AES members?

What is the NSAC?
AAF’s National Student Advertising
Competition (NSAC) is the premier college
advertising competition. It provides more than 3,000
college students with “real-world” experience by
requiring a strategic advertising/marketing/media
campaign for a corporate sponsor. Sixteen schools
nationwide, representing each AAF district are selected
to present their campaigns to a panel of industry judges
at the AAF National Conference.
In 2008 six schools competed in AAF District 3 competition. The University of Virginia represented the District at the AAF National Conference in Atlanta.
AAF’s college-chapter program has 225 affiliated chapters throughout the United States and abroad. The program includes 6,800 undergraduate student members and more than 350 faculty advisers.
AAF provides numerous programs to guide its college
students through advertising curriculum and job
placement. AAF’s programs include:
• More than 1,000 internship opportunities
• Scholarships
• Career guides
• Industry mentors
• Networking with top agency and corporate
recruiters.
