AAF Celebrates Local Advertising Clubs, Achievement Awards Announced
MAY 30, 2008, WASHINGTON, D.C.—The American Advertising Federation (AAF) announced this week the 2008 Club Achievement Award winners. The club achievement awards are presented annually to ad clubs and federations who display exceptional accomplishments in club operations. Member clubs and federations comprise the AAF's grass roots structure, which is essential resource in advancing and protecting the interests of the advertising industry.
"The work of our local ad clubs is fundamental to the successful advancement of the interests of the advertising industry," said Wally Snyder, AAF president and CEO. "I am thrilled to honor the outstanding achievements of AAF's club members, and I commend their esteemed efforts."
Each year, the AAF honors top ad clubs in eight categories: advertising education, communications, diversity and multicultural initiatives, government relations, club operations, membership development, programs and public service. In addition, a "club and president of the year" is selected in each membership division based on the cumulative scores of their entries.
