Based
on the experience of the Pisgah Chapter in N.C., a complete Plans and
Instructions binder has been prepared and is now available. It contains all
the information your Chapter needs to get started on its own Kiosk. It is
estimated that this binder can save a Chapter from $500 to $1,000 or more
and nearly 100 hours of planning and preparation time. The binder contains
two complete construction drawings so you can tailor the kiosk to your own
needs. It also contains step-by-step instructions, tips and detailed
information on all vital topics: Planning the Project; Publicity and How To
Raise Money; Planning and Producing the Information Panels; Ordering the
Information Panels; Bill of Materials; Construction; Estimated Costs, etc.
The Information Panels are the heart of the Kiosk. They convey the image and
information you want about your Chapter and TU. It is not necessary that you
duplicate the design, writing and production work for the eight panels shown
in the binder, since the work is already done for you. Yet, you can
customize the panels to your own needs. The panels are produced by a
commercial firm that prints the colorful layouts on 1/4" thick plastic, 3'
wide and 4' high, ready for installation in the kiosk. Depending on the
kiosk design and panels you select, the cost of a kiosk can vary from $1,000
to $4,000, based on lumber being donated and construction done by Chapter
members. |
