Fishing the San Jaun!

I have put on hold 5 river front cabins at Soaring Eagle Lodge in New Mexico for 5 days fishing from Oct 18 to Oct 24. Some of you have been there before. But for the unitiated this is drift boat fishing, wading or both on a neat river in the west. The accommodations are first rate, food is gourmet for dinner, eat everything buffet breakfast, and lunch provided by your guides. The basic cost are $1640 for the lodge, guides, food. there will be some extra charges for licenses, tips for the personnel and a minimum of $25 a day for the guides. Other expenses include rental car from Abq to the lodge (around 3hrs drive) and flight from Avl, GSp, and Clt. The fares at this time run between $300-$400. The maximum cost per person should run between $2200-$2500. I have done this trip 4 times and love it. All of us that have done it, have found it very comfortable and the fishing as a whole quite good with many good size fish taken and many more lost. The companionship has been excellent. At least two of us have committed to the trip but they will be calling me at end of the month to confirm the number coming as they won't hold the river front cabins past this month.

I have contacted you at the beginning so you can think about it or have someone else interest in making this trip to let me know. Some of you have been there before and some have indicated an interest in doing it. I know this is well in advance of the time to commit but I need to give them some leeway. If you are interested please let me know or if you know of anyone who would be interested in making the trip let me know. You can peruse their website at www.soaringeaglelodge.com and if you look at their video our party can be seen when we ate lunch on shore. We were there for the filming of the video.

Thanks
