Who Are We and What Do We Do?

Asheville New Friends is an organization of social and special interest groups. Our purpose is to help newcomers and long time residents become more at home in the Asheville area. to make new friends, and to participate in stimulating activities. We are a membership organization that welcomes singles and couples who wish to broaden their horizons in our mountain home.

In addition to general membership meetings and special social events, we offer a variety of challenging opportunities in our special interest groups (SIGS).

  • Challenge Your Mind (Book Groups, Investment Club, Bridge & Canasta, Mah Jongg and other participatory games)

  • Challenge Your Body (Hiking Groups, Golf for Men)

  • Challenge Your Outlook (Regular Meetings with wide-ranging topics, Unique Outings, Theatre & Symphony)

  • Challenge Your Appetite (In-Home Dinners, Exploring Asheville Restaurants)
