Electricity

Electricity is provided by Duke Power.  Their number is 828-479-3526.  Bills may be paid inside Ditmore Drugs on the Rodney Orr Bypass (Hwy. 129).  To begin service, a service connect fee is required. Rental property and certain other situations may require a cash deposit. For additional information and rates call 828-479-3526.

Telephone

Local phone service is provided by Verizon.  Call 800-483-4000 for installation.  The local calling area includes only Robbinsville (479) and Fontana (498) exchanges.  For a monthly fee, toll-free calling to Murphy, Andrews, Bryson City and Sylva is available.

Propane Gas

To have propane tanks filled, contact Regions Propane at 828-479-4869, Sawyers Market at 828-479-6953, Freeman Gas at 479-8714, or Amerigas at 828-837-2111.

Heating Oil

Heating oil is available from:

Television

• Television viewers can pickup the broadcasts of the Greenville, S.C. NBC affiliate on channel 8 and the Asheville ABC affiliate on channel 10.  The statewide PBS network can be received on channel 58. One or two stations may be received without cable.
• CMA Cablevision, also known as Telemedia Cable, serves a portion of Graham County centered around Robbinsville. Phone 828-479-3600.
• WBAV is a local cable television station. Phone 828-479-3065.

Several area vendors offer DirectTV and other satellite programming services.

Trash

The town of Robbinsville operates a municipal trash pickup. County residents may deposit their trash in county Dumpster sites. Recycling boxes may be found in the parking lot of Ingles and at the recycling center on Atoah Road.
