The wrestling club will be holding two different camps this summer, one for experienced wrestlers and one for new wrestlers. NOTE - the registration deadline for both camps is Wednesday, June 16!!
The HCWC " Advanced Wrestling Camp" with Coach Jerry Winterton will be at Pisgah HS June 21-24 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Coach Winterton is head coach at Cary High School, and was named National High School Coach of the Year for 2007 & 2009. We are very lucky to have someone of Coach Winterton's stature to work with our wrestlers this year.
The cost of this camp will be $60, or $50 for WCWC members. Here are the links to the camp brochure and the release of liability form for the advanced camp. The Haywood County Coaches’ "FUNdamentals Wrestling Camp" will be held at Canton Middle School June 21-24 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm daily. This camp is designed to introduce 2nd - 6th graders to the sport of wrestling.
The camp fee of $120 includes lunch daily @ 12:00 pm, daily snack @ 2:30 pm, swimming at the Canton Rec. Pool each day, a camp T-shirt, and secondary medical/accident insurance. We are limiting this camp to the first 50 kids who sign up, so don't wait too long to register. The cutoff date for registration is Wednesday, June 16.
