BOARD OF ELECTIONS MEMBERS:

Members are nominated by their political parties.  The names of the nominees are then sent to the North Carolina State Board of Elections, where the final selection is made.  Once the individual has been notified of his or her selection to the County Board of Election, they are sent a letter of confirmation.  The term of office is for two (2) years.  Members receive compensation and mileage fees only for official business.
