Looking directly up the SW tower leg from 70' AGL. The antenna visible in the foreground is a lowband 40 MHz antenna used for the local school board communications.
 Looking roughly NNW-NW from same position above.  Mountain visible in foreground is Mt. Ida in downtown Marion. Downtown Marion is visible just over right crest of mountain. The microwave antenna in the foreground is the link back to McDowell EOC for the microwave link for all transmitter control at the dispatch console.


Looking almost due N from same position listed above right. Cable tray in foreground shows 1/2", 7/8", and 1 5/8" Heliax hard line cables with association hangers. Mountain in visible in distance is Dobson's Knob in northern McDowell County located almost directly behind Baxter Healthcare. Looking almost due W from tower location. Road visible in the foreground is the US-221/226 bypass behind Mt Ida in Marion. Mountain range in distance is the Black Mountain range with Mount Mitchell, Green Knob, Clingman's Peak etc. Mountain in foreground is the Mackey mountain area and adjacent peaks...
