DESCRIPTION:
An infrequently found large-leaved plant with the largest up to 2' wide. Two other leaves, smaller but same-shaped appear on the flowering stems. The flowers, 1/2 - 1" across appears on a loose umbrel. Later, 1/4" blue fruits appear on the reddened stems.

FLOWERS:
May to June (Fruits: July to August)

HABITAT:
Rich, deep woods and seepage slopes.

 

OTHER INFORMATION:
This is a fairly rare plant and should not be disturbed if at all possible.

The berries, i believe, are inedible and certainly don't taste very good, even when ripe.
