Another monster muskie caught in the French Broad

They're out there in the river, folks--great big muskellunges, and a few lucky anglers are catching them.

Megan Lambert Kuykendall shared photos of her cousin Dalton Conley, who she says grew up on the river in the Brevard area, with a whopper he caught recently.

"He is 18 and been fishing since he was around 3 years old," she said. "Largest one he's caught. Just thought it was neat," she wrote us.

Megan says Dalton's big muskie was caught on the French Broad. It's not a record, she says, but it's pretty big at 47" and about 30 pounds.

"Let people know they're tubing with those big things," Megan writes.

Angler David Bergman also caught a big muskie in the French Broad, earlier this year, in April.
