ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Asheville Police Department is investigating a reported bank robbery that happened Wednesday morning at approximately 8:22 a.m. at the State Employees Credit Union at 111 Smokey Park Highway.
Authorities say the suspect entered the bank and wrote a threatening note on the back of a deposit slip. He handed the note to the teller and fled with an unknown amount of money. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
The suspect is described as a black male with a shaved head, wearing a Carolina Blue UNC Tarheels t-shirt. He is thought to be operating a silver sedan.
