Mayor declares week of Sept. 13-19 as National Assisted Living Week

Mayor Barney Arceneaux officially declared the week of Sept. 13 to 19 as National Assisted Living Week in the city - the theme is "Nourishing Life; Mind, Body and Spirit."

Residents at Azalea Estates Assisted Living and Retirement Community will participate in the month-long celebration with events ranging from live bands to comedy shows, area citizens are also encouraged to attend. The big close out will be on Sept. 24 with a show by Na Na Sha.
