Valentine's luncheon locally

The United Methodist Church will host a Valentine's Day luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14. The menu includes lasagna, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverage. There no charge but donations will be appreciated. All proceeds will go toward the remodeling of the church parsonage.

Support the McClave Cardinals

The McClave wrestling team will participate in the wrestling regionals Friday, Feb. 12 at Centauri High School. The basketball team will meet Granada for four games on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. The freshman class will sponsor a dinner during the games. The Flagler basketball team will be in McClave on Saturday for three games beginning at 3 p.m.

File your taxes FREE at OJC

Otero Junior College has partnered again this season with the Denver-based Piton Foundation to help hard-working families become more financially secure by providing free tax preparation assistance through the Tax Help Colorado program.

IRS-certified OJC students will be preparing and e-filing tax returns free of charge for individuals with household incomes of less than $53,000 a year. This free service, which is quick and confidential, will be offered at OJC from each Saturday in February from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Learning Commons located in Wheeler Hall on the OJC campus.
