SANTA FE TRAIL DAY FLOAT: We were very proud of our Boggsville Santa Fe Trail Day float. We thank all those who worked so hard to make it happen! See the picture.

DOC JONES SADDLE EXHIBIT: Now open in the Grand Hall. Special presentation will be held on May 14 at 2 p.m. when Doc talks about his cavalry saddle collection. What an awesome display of our military history! This exhibit will remain up all summer for your viewing pleasure.

BENT COUNTY CHRONICLE: The 34th edition of the Bent County Chronicle has been published and distributed to members and is on sale in the Old Trail Gallery – HOT OFF THE PRESS. If you don't receive one as a member, you are welcome to buy one at our store for $5. Featured this time are the Harris family history, and JoAnne Miller's memories and stories – both very fascinating parts of Bent County history.

SQUARE DANCE LESSONS: Square dance lessons are going great – last week 32 people had a GREAT TIME. Please come and join the fun with Hal Barnes, caller, Thursdays in the Grand Hall from 7 to 9 p.m. $2 per person. Singles or partners welcome! What a great way to spend an evening. Beautiful setting, good exercise and really fun.

SANTA FE TRAIL DAY ART SHOW:The 11th annual Old Trail Gallery Art Show sponsored by Bent County Art Guild is open now and runs through May 7. Visit the Museum and check out the winners.

RADIO LAS ANIMAS: Listen to KRKV 107.3 Las Animas on LA Live Mondays at 6:30 a.m. or at their studio in the Chamber of Commerce Office at 702 Grove Avenue to hear the latest local news of the museum and community events. Broadcast is repeated at noon on Mondays and daily throughout the week. Check out theavbridge.com website for updates and local community events.

OLD TRAIL ART GALLERY & GIFT SHOP & MUSEUM HOURS: FREE access to the Old Trail Gallery if you just want to shop! New Boggsville and Santa Fe Trail T-shirts have arrived! Our museum is open each week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, and Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children; free to active military and children under six. We are happy to provide tours off hours – just call us!
