  • Submissions by invitation only.
  • Any submission which fails to follow these guidelines might summarily vanish into an electronic nozone.

  • Any submission which fails to follow these guidelines might pass unscathed through an electronic nozone and, as such, shall be considered with all due respect.

  • The editor is inclined to disdain guidelines such as these, and thus might be prone to respect those who likewise choose to ignore all that follows.

  • All submissions must be electronic. Work must be either pasted into the body of an email message or included as an attachment. If you do submit work as an attachment, please supply the file name in the body of your email message.

  • In the subject line of your submission, please clarify that the material is intended for wire sandwich. For example, your subject line might appear as follows: sandwich submission - pickles.

  • Please submit up to but no more than 5 poems or 10 cumulative pages. Other work is welcome, especially reviews or pieces in which expectations relating to genre are challenged.

  • Please introduce yourself. While cover letters are not required, sincere attempts to communicate are appreciated. Please refrain, however, from overindulgent documentation of biographical expertise. Editorial disinterest at wire sandwich pertains especially to excessive publishing accomplishments and advanced degrees.

  • If your work is not accepted, this does not necessarily reflect any judgment on the part of the sandwich regarding the acceptability of your character or the quality of your work. Please try again.

  • Should your work appear in the sandwich, please take the opportunity to provide links to work found elsewhere online. Remember, however, that a sense of discretion might likewise reflect a gift for finesse.

  • wire sandwich acquires exclusive one-time online/electronic rights to publish prose and poetry and to maintain archives that contain current and previously published material. After publication, all rights revert to the author. If the work should be published in the future, the sandwich asks only for credit.
