Doodles and Some Modern Aphorisms

I. On Cats

1.

Counting 1 to 9 is graveward;
9 to 1, birthward.

2.

To insult and belittle death,
say out loud: meeeeeeeeoooowwwwww!

3.

Death needs nine sharp scythes:
for the cats.

4.

A rat's ninth breath is a miracle.
A cat's ninth breath is a disgrace.

5.

9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9 sings the rat.
9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9,9 sings death.

6.

"Wow, 9! Wow, 9!" says the rat.
"Oh, God! Oh, God!" cries the cat.

7.

Death toils and sweats it out for the cats:
it has to be nine grueling times.

8.

Called home nine times;
cats abide only once.

9.

Nagging the cats,
death shouts: "Stubborn! Stubborn! Stubborn!"

10.

To death, counting 1 to 9 is a harrowing struggle;
to the rats, an eternity.
