Things To Do
Bat Cave: is spread out along
US-74-A in the narrow valley, almost a gorge, through which flows the
Broad River. East of Hendersonville, there are no industrial sites
and all commerce activity is consumer, primarily tourist, oriented. Real Estate in this area is generally above average in cost.
Edneyville: is an agricultural community east of Hendersonville. The swelling population in the Henderson County Area has spilled over into Edneyville and more and more residences are replacing apple trees. Most industry in the area is connected with apple production and the remaining commercial activity is primarily consumer oriented. Real Estate in this area is generally about average in cost.
Etowah: is a small, rural community west of Hendersonville and a haven for many folks who just want to get away from it all. There is no industry in the immediate area and the little commercial activity is consumer oriented. Real Estate in this area is generally above average in cost.
Flat Rock: is a community adjoining Hendersonville's southern boundary. It is a community with more than just history- it is a special life. The community is full of people wanting to escape from the "fast lane" of today's life- and it seems that many, if not most, of the residents of Flat Rock aren't escaping from but escaping to. The only industry in the immediate area is located in East Flat Rock, and the little commercial activity is consumer and tourist oriented. Real Estate in the area is generally above average in cost.
Fletcher: is just across the county line from Arden/Asheville though some distance south of Downtown Asheville. There is a broad economic range of residential areas, including some very attractive developments, plus some industrial sites. Fletcher is the "airport community", being the site of the Asheville Regional Airport. Many fine hotels/motels provide convenient accommodations to compliment the industrial parks and national/international business enterprises. Also here, are comfortable residential communities offering convenience combined with quality living and low taxes.
Hendersonville: Enjoy the hospitality and tranquility of Historic Hendersonville & Flat Rock, North Carolina, traditionally known for its gentle climate, beautiful scenery, a richness in culture & history, ample recreational facilities, and friendly people. The area has been a popular vacation destination for well over a century.
