BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — An investigation is underway after a juvenile was found injured Wednesday evening, April 17, in Buncombe County after reports of a gunshot wound.
A spokesperson for the Asheville Police Department (APD) said Thursday, April 18, that officers responded to Artisan at Biltmore Park apartments on Long Shoals Road around 6:03 p.m. for a reported gunshot wound on Wednesday.

Police say a juvenile was found at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to the legs.
Responding officers applied a tourniquet to the victim until EMS arrived and then transported them to the hospital for treatment, after which the victim was released.

Detectives and forensics technicians responded to the scene and recovered evidence, but the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
